Phased New Construction Buildings
How We Help
Phased new construction buildings
If your congregation is considering building a new facility, Agur Foundation has several vetted consultants that can assist your church with site selection, due diligence, and entitlement. In addition, other consultants can help your congregation develop an overall site plan and perhaps an affordable two-phased construction process.
Client Case Study: A practical two-phase design by Mountain West Architects
The design below is for a church with intentions to build a new building and expectations to double its size over a 5-8 year period. The church does not have the up-front capital to fund the entire church building.
In this example, Mountain West Architects designed a two-phased site plan. After Phase 1 is completed, the church can implement multiple services to grow in Phase 1. Then, when more space is needed and the congregation can qualify for higher debt, Phase 2 can be completed (without ever interrupting Phase 1 facilities). As you can see from the drawings below, in Phase 2, the sanctuary can be expanded. Phase 2 can also include a second-floor build for additional classrooms if necessary.
